Science In Action

Science in Action was a weekly half-hour television program devoted to science.
The program was produced by the California Academy of Sciences, and was broadcast from 1950-1966.
 It was among the first live science television programs, shown in the United States of America.
                             The Flow Of Heat was filmed in Kinescope in 1956.
 


The episode (below) is devoted to Submarines,
their design and operation, and the duties of the crew.
                Guests: Fleet Admiral Chester Nimitz and Vice Admiral Charles Lockwood.
