THE TONIGHT SHOW

The Tonight Show is the worlds longest running late night talk show....
 ever.
It first aired in 1954 from the NBS studios in Rockefeller Center in New Your City....
making it the longest running regularly scheduled program in the U.S. of A.

From 1954-1957 Steve Allen was host....
Then came Jack Parr 1957-1962...

In 1962 Johnny Carson took the helm over and went an amazing 30 years until his retirement....
in 1992.
He was, in my opinion, the.....
"King Of Night Time Entertainment!"

I was one to go to bed early through the work week....
but on the weekend I caught his show many-many times.
For those of you who have never caught the magic of Johnny in his prime, I am proud too offer up a dvd filled with.....Carson at his best!

After Johnny Carson retired Jay Leno filled some very hard shoes to fill.
Jay was cool.... but Johnny was king!
He did a great job! He left in 2009, only to return as host again in 2010 until his retirement
in 2014.

From June 1, 2009 through to January 22, 2010 The Tonight Show Host was Conan O'Brien
Over the course of the 7 month and three week span 145 episodes aired making it the shortest
host run of  the well over 60 some years of history of...
  The Tonight Show.

Just as soon as Jay Leno left in 2014....Jimmy Fallon filled the slot.
He is the host to this very day.
Jimmy is great and I especially love his quirky sense of humor and he can easily get me to laugh right out load...but Johnny will always be my all time favorite!

Those of us that were old enough to stay up late just couldn't stop laughing when
Johnny had the animal trainers sitting in the hot seat.

No mater.... if you missed the shows because you just could not stay up that late, your parents
forbade it, or you just weren't even born yet; this one is for you!
Some of my children were conceived..... during  his opening monologue!
Time to catch up on the magic of..... The Tonight Show.

Private Snafu

Do you remember?

Private Snafu is the title character of a series of black-and-white American instructional cartoon shorts, ironic and humorous in tone, that were produced between 1943 and 1945 during World War II. The films were designed to instruct service personnel about security, proper sanitation habits, booby traps and other military subjects, and to improve troop morale. Primarily, they demonstrate the negative consequences of doing things wrong.

Did You Watch?

It was an American competition television program that aired weekly in syndication from September 1989 to May 1996.
The series matched a cast of amateur athletes against each other, as well as against the show's own gladiators, in contests of strength and agility.

Since it was on for such a long time,
there must have been a few of us watching it.
I remember the program and watched it a time or two.....
but, I didn't follow the program faithfully.

The Three Stooges Reruns Were And Are The Best

Growing up with black and white television, I find the memories of watching The Three Stooges,
quite delightful. So funny.... it brings tears to my eyes!
Nothing can compare to.... Those Stooges.

The act began as part of a mid-1920s vaudeville comedy act, billed as "Ted Healy and his Stooges", consisting of Healy, Moe Howard, his brother Shemp Howard, and Larry Fine.
The four made one feature film, "Soup to Nuts", before Shemp left to pursue a solo career. He was replaced by his younger brother, Jerome "Curly" Howard.....   in 1932.

In 1934.... the trio left Healy, and signed with Columbia Pictures to appear in their own short subject comedies now billed as.....
 "The Three Stooges".
From 1934 to 1946, Moe, Larry, and Curly produced over ninety short films for Columbia. It was during this period that they were at the peak of their popularity.

Hercules and the Amazon Women

Hercules and the Lost Kingdom

Hercules and the Circle of Fire

Hercules in the Underworld

Hercules in the Maze of the Minotaur was the last one produced. It served mostly as a "clip show" of the previous movies as a lead up to the series.
