The First Superman

Did you know there was an actor that played Superman before George Reeve?
Seems that the very first Superman to star in films was Kirk Alyn who starred in the theatrical serial in 1948 called Superman. He also was the star of the 1950 sequel.... Atom Man vs. Superman.
He had the kids begging for a another dime so they could go back to the movies and see the next exciting episode in that never ending battle for, truth, justice, and the American way.
Long before George Reeves took on the role of Superman..... Kirk Alan thrilled audiences of the  silver screen with his portrayal of the man of steel.
