The Roy Rogers Show

Oh yes, simpler times, indeed!
You knew who the good and bad guys were. No question at all, it was a very black and white world, with a comedic side kick tossed in for good measure.

Life was good and the cowboy was king. Roy Rogers was and is known as....
The King Of The Cowboys.

This was one of my most favorite all time western programs....
from Yesterday TV.

Yes, Roy Rogers was one of those singing cowboys and sold oodles of music
back in his day.

He was a movie star as well as.......

When I was a kid, I just wanted to be a cowboy.

Everyone knew the.... "Happy Trails Song." Adults would hum it and the kids would sing along with the words.

Little Lulu Moppet

http://amzn.to/1FttLdL

Who remembers Little Lulu Cartoons? Just a bit before my time, perhaps yours too? The one above is from 1946.

According to Wikipedia..... Little Lulu is the nickname for Lulu Moppet, a comic strip character created in 1935 by Marjorie Henderson Buell.
She debuted in The Saturday Evening Post on 23 February 1935 in a single panel, appearing as a flower girl at a wedding and strewing the aisle with banana peels.
The Little Lulu panel continued to run weekly in The Saturday Evening Post......
 until 30 December 1944.

After all these years Little Lulu still has many fans and her products, are still in demand.
Some of the collectables that were saved, are still  commanding top dollar, even if only in fair shape.

Three's Company

John Ritter starred in a number of TV series after “Three's Company” finished in 1984, including the spin-off “Three's a Crowd” (1984-1985), the underrated Steven Bochco show “Hooperman” (1987-1989), and “Hearts Afire” (1992-1995). He was the star of the hit ABC sitcom “8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter” when he died suddenly in 2003. The show continued after his death but was renamed “8 Simple Rules.”

Hey Poncho! Hey Cisco!

The cries, "Hey, Poncho! Hey, Cisco" are something that no one who grew up with TV western's, could ever get out of heads! This western, The Lone Ranger and a host of others, shaped young minds to believe in truth and justice; and are still so much fun to watch....to this day.

In "Yesterday Television" http://amzn.to/1enskIw Cowboys are somewhat outdated for most of the youth of today. But, not all....So return to yesteryear and view them just as your Grand Parents and Great Grand Parents...did. Enjoy the show!
